And yes, I completely agree about how ideas of the future tie into educational philosophy. We're just recruiting (at MMU) for a studentship looking at neo-liberal/co-operative education philsophies, so will hope to explore this further. It's a great thinking tool. Perhaps it would be useful to reflect more on how views of the future interact with our views of educational value, - instrumental, liberal, socially disruptive... It also strikes me that these discussions, and the potential for agency, are particularly important for FE at this time.
